at Sauk County (608) 355-3245 M-F 8:00am-4:30pm
To obtain the Land Use Permit
Then contact the Town Building Inspector before you start any construction to be sure you have the proper permits needed for your project. The Town of La Valle Requires a local building permit.
The Town of La Valle contracts with General Engineering for building permits and inspections.

- Complete the application
- Send or drop off your application along with the $100.00 fee, payable to the Town of La Valle, address is PO Box 30 La Valle, WI. 53941 (fee change 2026). The two front doors are open 24-7, the Black drop box is on the right hand side.
- La Valle Plan Commission reviews the CSM at a scheduled meeting (they meet prior to the town board meeting) and forwards a recommendation to the board to be reviewed, approved, denied, or postpone at a monthly Town Board Meeting. The Plan Commission meets the Thursday before the Town Board meeting which is the second Monday of the Month.
- Please submit the Certified Survey at least 2 weeks ahead of the Plan Commission meeting, so the members have the change to review the survey. or send it via email to the clerk's email: [email protected]
