Snowstorms create numerous problems. Property owners have certain responsibilities in minimizing the problems.
Be aware of the snow removal equipment and do not crowd the plow.
Parking on the roads following a snowstorm present a hazard to snow removal operations. Please remove vehicles from roads and road right of ways in all snow or ice events.
Do not plow, push or blow snow onto the road or across the road.
Residents should be aware that they may need to clear their driveway access more than once until the road has been plowed to its full width. Pushing or blowing snow or other materials onto or across the Town Roads and Cul-de-sac from private driveways can cause accidents and death, and is prohibited by Wisconsin State Statues. 86.01(Materials left in highway), 346.94(94) (Placing injurious substance on Highway) and by the Town Policy. Violations of the Statue will be referred to the proper law enforcement agency: La Valle Police Department, or Sauk County Sheriff's Department.
Clean snow from around mailboxes and newspaper delivery tubes.
